Apple Intelligence, Apple’s new AI-powered intelligence system was announced during the tech giant’s September 9th Glowtime event – since then fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. Here’s a rundown of all the new convenient features to look forward to. 

Writing Tools 

The Writing Tools feature takes convenience to the next level. Powered by Apple Intelligence, it offers advanced language capabilities to assist with various text-related tasks. Whether you need to summarise lecture notes in seconds, proofread your writing, rephrase sentences, or adjust the tone of your text, this tool streamlines the process, making it quicker and more efficient.

New & Improved Siri

Thanks to Apple Intelligence, Siri has had a complete revamp. Users can enjoy richer language understanding (even if you fumble over your words), an all-new design, the ability to perform actions in and out of apps and the ability to type to Siri whenever you’d like. This will ultimately make the famous Siri more useful than ever. 

ChatGPT Integration 

The popularity of ChatGPT has soared over recent years, and now this platform will be seamlessly integrated into Apple Intelligence’s Siri and Writing Tools. Siri can now tap into ChatGPT to perform certain requests such as answering questions about photos or documents. 

If you’re not a ChatGPT fan don’t worry, users have full control when the platform is used and will be asked before any information is shared. 

Delightful Images 

Apple Intelligence provides amazing new ways for users to express themselves visually. 

With this, there’s a long list of possibilities, transform rough sketches into beautiful images with the Image Wand, create your emojis by simply typing a description, create your own Genmojis that are personal to you and more! 

Great Privacy

Apple Intelligence is built with privacy as a top priority, ensuring your personal data remains secure at every step. It operates through on-device processing, allowing it to assist you without collecting or storing your personal information. With the innovative Private Cloud Compute, Apple Intelligence can tap into powerful server-based models running on Apple silicon to handle more complex tasks—while still safeguarding your privacy. Your data is used solely to fulfill your requests and is never stored, upholding Apple’s verifiable promise of privacy protection.

When Is Apple Intelligence Coming Out?

Apple Intelligence will be released in December 2024 (UK).
