Rumours circulating about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 release have started to increase. Samsung have already confirmed the trademark in China and Columbia. Samsung must be feeling confident that the Note 9 will eclipse the note 8 giving it the code name Crown!
Samsung’s Galaxy note 9 is expected to be larger, more memory and a better processor making the new handset even better than the iconic Samsung Galaxy note 8.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Expected Release date
We expect the Note 9 to be released in August 2018. Samsung will want to get the jump on Apple which usually launch their latest flagship handset in September. In previous years Samsung launched the Note 8 on 23rd August 2017, the Note 7 was released on 19th of August 2016.
Bloomberg have stated they expect the Note 9 to be launched in New York on the 9th of August with the handset landing in stores and online by the end of August 2018.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Expected Price
We expect the Note 9 will be priced just above the Note 8. However, we don’t think Samsung will follows Apple’s folly and price the Galaxy Note 9 nearer to the £1000 price mark.
The best guess is the Note 9 will be around £900 sim free which means Samsung fans can expect to pay less than the iPhone X for a handset which will again be superior.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Expected Hardware and Specifications
Samsung will likely keep the same power as the S9 and S9 plus. The Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 are the most likely processors depending on where you live in the world. The Note 8 and S9 came with 6MB of Ram and we would hope Samsung would give this a bit of a boost.
One speed test that appeared on Geekbench.com claimed the Note 9 will be fast than the S9 Plus but slower than the Standard Galaxy S9.
Samsung will no doubt stick with the 6.3-inch screen that featured in the Note 8 which was still larger than the S9 Plus. There have been several claims that the Note 8 could arrive with a 6.4-inch screen but its likely the bezels will be reduced in size making the Note 9 appear like it has a larger screen.
The battery is getting a boost to 4,000 mAh in comparison to the Note 8’s 3,300 mAh battery. This brings the Note 9 in line with the leading Huawei P20 Pro.
The could lead us to believe the camera could get an upgrade using the current S9’s setup. A recent leak by the Express.co.uk shows a side by side dual camera instead of the up and under cameras currently featured on the Samsung Galaxy S9. This is often to make space for larger lenses or more powerful processors.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Expected Software
The Samsung Note 9 will follow the S9 and S9 plus and be released using Oreo Android 8.0. The Note 9 will be ready to update to Android P which is due to be released at the end of 2018 or early 2019.
There have been rumours of Bixby 2.0 for a few months now so its highly likely Samsung will launch this with the Note 9. This means you will be speaking with Bixby and using more commands than ever before.
In terms of software in general we would not expect the Note 9 to move much further on from the S9 and S9 plus.
