Putting your apps in alphabetical order
This makes life so easy when searching for Apps. To set this up press the menu icon in the top right-hand corner and then click sort. This will automatically setup all your apps in alphabetical order.
Uninstalling Apps on the S9
Uninstalling apps on the S9 is quick, hold down on the app you want to uninstall and a pop up will appear. You can either uninstall or disable your app from here.
How to add apps to your S9’s home screen
Hold down on the app you want to move, this will let you place a quick shortcut onto your S9’s home screen by dragging it to the top page. Alternatively, you can use the pop up that appears and select the option that says add to home screen.

This is a very popular option for S9 users. Doing this removes the app tray and makes it like the iPhone. To do this hold down on the home screen, the select home screen layout. You can choose how many apps you want on the apps tray. Go into home screen settings and choose apps screen grid. You have a choice of 5X6 or 4X6.

Select any app and drag it over another, this will create a folder and ask you to name it. You can even give it a new colour or choose your own colour. This helps organise your apps into things like Google apps, IOT (internet of things) apps etc.
How to reorder your apps on the S9
As well as setting up alphabetical orders you can also choose custom ordering. Tap the button at the right-hand corner and select custom order. This lets you drag and drop your apps to a place of your choice.
Adding or removing your S9’s apps tray button
The S9’s default position is setup to swipe open the apps tray. If you want the button to appear on your S9’s home page screen goes to home screen settings and select the option that says apps button. Here you can choose to turn this off and on.
How to search your entire S9 at once
Right at the top of the Galaxy S9 is a search bar. Using the search bar will search your whole S9. If you only want the search bar to search specific files on the S9 you can set this up by tapping manage apps and you can decide where the search bar searches.
Changing the S9 back to normal app icons
Samsung seem to place backgrounds on everything now. Not every Samsung user likes this as they change the apps icons to circle. If you want to change the app icons back to square go to settings, then to display, then to icon frames and select icons only. They will then revert to their original shape.
