Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Samsung Galaxy S22: What’s The Difference?

The Samsung Galaxy S23 launched in early February and naturally when any flagship comes out it’s always compared to its predecessor device – in this case the Samsung Galaxy S22. Here are 5 main differences between these two Samsung releases. 

Improved Snapdragon Chipset

Bigger Battery

The Samsung Galaxy S22 features a 3700 mAh Li-lon battery and the new Galaxy S23 features a larger 3900 mAh battery – a slight but still impressive improvement. This means that with the S23 flagship device, you can enjoy more screen time than ever. 

Better Brightness

If you love a bold and bright display then the Galaxy S23 might be the smartphone for you. Although both Galaxy displays provide sharp, detailed and clear visuals, their nits brightness measurements are completely different.  The Galaxy S22 has 1,500 nits at peak, whereas the S23 bumps it up to 1,750 nits at peak – giving the flagship an overall better-looking brighter display.

Selfie Camera 

A good front-facing camera is key- I mean how else will you snap all your wonderful selfies? The Galaxy S22 features a 10 MP front-facing lens, whereas the Galaxy S23 features a 12 MP front-facing lens. Although a higher MP unit doesn’t necessarily mean a better camera, it does in fact improve the ability to enlarge and crop pictures without individual pixels becoming visible and boosts other factors like determining the overall picture quality. So this S23 wins this battle.

Different Colours

Making sure you’re in love with the colour of your smartphone is important. Although the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S23 share some colours, some also vary. The S22 comes in the shades: White, Pink Gold, Bora Purple, Green and Black. Alternatively, the S23 comes in fewer colours: Cream, Lavender, Green and Phantom Black.
