The Sony Xperia 5 camera features make this handset one of the best options for people looking for the perfect mobile camera. It doesn’t come to much of a surprise that Sony knows exactly how to make a perfect smartphone camera. They’ve been in the game for years and have never seemed to struggle.
Triple Lens Camera
The triple lens camera is something we’ve seen a lot recently in mobile phones and there’s a great reason for it. The Sony Xperia 5 holds a trio of great lenses, all with different capabilities.
Sony’s first lens on the Xperia 5 is a 12MP ultra-wide lens. This is great for times you want to capture more in one photo, such as group or scenic photos. We’re then given a 12MP telephoto lens for when you want to get closer to your image focus. Telephoto lenses create some amazing photographs, full of details and sharp colours. The last lens given in the Xperia 5 camera is a 12MP versatile lens, perfect for all other situations. There is a whole load of features that require this lens, such as low light modes and optical image stabilisation.
All three of these lenses work together to create a super crisp image with a high level of detail in every part of an image. Building a triple lens camera also allows this handset to have a whole host of features. Each play an important part in making your photos top quality.
Eye AF
This is one of the most important features when it comes to taking photos of people and it’s great that this is now built into a mobile phone! The Eye AF feature on the Xperia 5 will accurately focus on the subject\’s eye. Even if your subject is moving, the Eye AF mode will track their eye to ensure each image you take is as professional as it can get. By focusing on the eye of your topic, highlights and shadows can be tracked with more accuracy.
Xperia Look Settings
With 8 different colour management modes on the Xperia 5, you’ll be able to shoot some of the most professional, interesting videos from a smartphone. There are Look presets to create soft, bright, shadowed or even calming senses from each video you take. Each style allows you to create a new sense from your videos whilst still keeping all relevant details! You won’t lose dark shadows or bright highlights and you’ll be able to keep plenty of details.
Sony’s Alpha Camera Technology
Not only is the Sony Xperia 5 built with a selection of their Alpha camera technology, but they also work closely with the cameras themselves. You will be able to use your Sony smartphone as a camera display for a larger, clearer picture. Alpha technology also allows you to control photo settings on your camera from your smartphone too! Set your camera up, walk away and get ready to shoot. To make this achievable, you will need to download the Imaging Edge app on your mobile.
Low Light Shooting
Low light shooting is one of our favourite Sony Xperia 5 camera features as it’s just so useful! Ever been caught in a situation where you’ve found the perfect photo opportunity but there’s just not enough light? This mode opens sensors in your camera lenses to allow more light in. Although you would be shooting in darker situations, you don’t have to worry about losing out on any detail. The three cameras work effortlessly to capture every speck of details from every inch of your photo.
We’re not sure there are too many smartphones with a camera better than the Xperia 5. Sony has put some serious thought, time and effort into this one phone.
