Best Vodafone Mobile Contract Add-ons

Vodafone add ons are extra minutes, data and texts that you can get on top of your existing phone contract. These can be super handy for those months when you’re using your phone more than usual. You can also get Vodafone bolt ons for international calls and texts, picture messages, and entertainment.

A Few Things to Bear in Mind

Before looking at the amazing extras Vodafone has to offer, there are a few things to know.

• Vodafone add ons begin on the day of purchase and renew every 30 days.
• The add on will only renew if you have enough credit in your account. This is unless you have Vodafone IOU, in which case your IOU credit will be used towards your extra until you can top up.
• You can opt out of Vodafone bolt ons at any time during your 30-day period, and the bolt on will end on the last day of the period.
• Any add on allowances will unfortunately not carry over when the contract ends.
• Standard charges will apply if you go over your Vodafone add on allowance.
• You can only buy a specific type of extra once in a 30-day period.
• When switching between Pay as You Go Extra and Pay Monthly contracts, unused add on minutes, texts and data do not carry over.
• There may be an up to two-hour delay for your add on to renew on the 30^th day.

Vodafone Extras

Vodafone International Calls Add On

If you’re making calls abroad, an international call add on is a great idea. The international minutes are available in 100 countries.

• To add 100 minutes just text “ADD INTL100” to 40506 or head to the My Vodafone app. This costs just £3.00 which will be added to your monthly billing.
• For 500  international minutes text “ADD INTL500” to 40506 or head to the My Vodafone app. This costs £7.50 a month.

• To opt out of your international minutes, simply text STOPINTERNATIONAL to 49500. 
• 75 minute and 200 minute call abroad options are also available on the My Vodafone app. These cost £10 and £20 a month respectively.

Vodafone International Texts Add On

To add 100 international texts just text “INTTEXT” to 97886. This costs just £5.00 per month which will be added to your monthly billing. To opt out of any text add ons, text

 “STOPTEXTS” TO 49500.

European Data Add On

If you’re taking a trip to a European country and want to be able to use data, you can get an 8 or 15 day roaming pass. Depending on how many days of data you want you can text either “8DAYEUROPE” or “15DAYEUROPE” to 40506.

These roaming passes cost £8 and £15 respectively.

UK Vodafone Data Add On

If you ever find yourself running out of data, simply text “1GB” to 97888. This will get you an extra gigabyte of data for just £6 a month.

To add on 2GB of data to your monthly allowance just text “2GB” to  the same number. This costs £10.00 per month. To opt out, simply text “STOP2GBDATA” to 49500 or head to the My Vodafone app.

If you only need the extra data on a one-off basis, the app has one-off 1GB and 2GB data add on options. These cost £8 and £12 respectively.

The app also has a 15GB data add on available, which costs £20 per month.

50MB of Extra Data

This Vodafone data add on is only available to Pay as You Go 1 customers and allows you to get an extra 50MB of data for £1 to use that day.

To add 50MB of data for that day, text “DATA50” to 40514.

The add on expires at 11:59pm but all of your unused data rolls over to the next day.

You can only purchase one 50MB data add on at once.

500MB of Extra Data

Pay as You Go Vodafone customers can access 500MB of data by calling 34441. This costs £5 a month and you can opt out by texting “STOPDATA” to 49500.

08 Number Add on

To add 300 minutes of calls to 084 and 087 numbers just text “NONGEO” to 97886.

This costs just £2.50 which will be added to your monthly billing, and you can opt out through the My Vodafone app.

Picture Message Add on

You can access a Vodafone picture  message add on through the My Vodafone app.

This costs just £3.50 which will be added to your monthly billing.

Add 300 minutes

Running out of minutes? Simply text Vodafone.

To add 300 minutes of calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles just text “300” to 97886. This costs just £3.00 which will be added to your monthly billing.

To opt out of extra minutes, text “STOPMINS” to 49500
